Chanel:”Ama Toffee was a nickname given to me by my family. I have loved makeup from when I was a child and that may sound cliche but its true! I have been in my mothers makeup bag since I was about 6 messing about and getting told off for it.”

GSB: How long have you been practicing as a make-up artist?

C:”I have been practicing for 5 years now.”

GSB: Have you ever worked on a celebrity or a famous figure in the media? if so, how was the experience?

C: “I have worked with Alisha White from Britain’s Next top model- she is such a fun person to be around and really funny! But might I add, I am not a fan of ‘celebrities’ personally, I have a talent to be shared with all, and my main focus is to be successful and enjoy my job role as a makeup artist. “

GSB: Where do you get your inspiration from on your dramatic shoots?

C: “Most of my inspiration comes from the styling of the shoot in terms of fashion styling, also ,the models and what may suit their look.”

GSB: What is your favourite key make-up trend for the Autumn and how would you wear this?

C: “My favourite makeup trend this Autumn is the berry/ plum look- I would where a bold berry colour on my lips and make it really stand out with lip gloss on top and have a blusher colour to complement it.”

GSB: What is one item in your make-up bag you will never live without and why?

C: “My Eyebrow pencil- I think its crucial to have good brows as this frames your face and makes you look much more interesting.”

GSB: What advice do you have for girls pursuing make-up Artistry and trying to make it in the industry?

C: ” My first advice would be to practise, secondly assist someone who has a lot of experience,
you would learn so much more and you are likely to network and meet other people.”

GSB: Thanks Chanel for your time.

C: Thanks.
