Demilade ‘Lade’ Apata is an upcoming Nigerian Hip-Hop/R’n’B artist. Born in the southern parts of Nigeria, Lade has always had a strong affinity for music since his early years. He started playing drums at the early age of six and played the piano from time to time. He grew up listening to Hip-Hop legends like Eminem, Ludacris, kanye West as well as Fort Minor of the high-profile Rock band, Linkin’ Park. He began rapping in High school where he performed at several school stage performances. He sang in his church choir for a while, Raised by his parents in the city of Abuja (Northern Nigeria), Lade now lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada); and schools at the University of Manitoba. Endowed with ingenious rapping techniques and intelligent wordplay, Lade’s works are a product of vernal and personal aspirations as well as the celebration of youthful exuberance. He’s definitely one to watch out for.
