According to Wikipedia Al-Farouq Ajiede Aminu is an American-born Nigerian basketball player for the New Orleans Hornets. He also plays for the Nigeria Men’s National Basketball team.

Al-Farouq Aminu is an NBA star who played in the recently concluded London 2012 Olympics, during an interview with TMZ, he was quick to state that he has ‘Never Actually Stepped foot in the country’. Al-Farouq goes on to state that he is from Atlanta and NOT originally from Nigeria.
