Admit it!
Let me start off by observing that the Gunners are 1 or 2 clinical finishes away from American Football and by this I mean scoring goals in the ranges of the touchdown scorecount.
As an Arsenal fan…I get tired of saying we shouldve won the game by 9 goals to 0…not because Its true but because it is very true.
The gunners have hit the woodwork more times than any team this season. We have also forced more saves this season.
As I watched a typical game like Saturday’s , I have come to realize that i have truly been soccer spoiled by Arsenal. How can and wont anyone not be a fan? It confuses me.
In all honesty, I dont know anyone who watches a match like this and does not.
Its impossible. But people do impossible and unfathomable things. They reach into the unfathomable depths of the unthinkable and are blinded by ugly gang cross-heading tactics and trophies and silverware. But lets not start this again…
The Fantastic number 4, wears no. 10 For Spain. You dont pick your squad numbers for International teams…you are given squad numbers…whether its 8, 49, 24, 00, 83092….(i think you get the point)
I will be the first to admit that I was blinded by the Legend that is Henry for so many years not to realize the greatness of Cesc Fabregas.
When Arsenal beat Real Madrid that had the likes of the:
- The G.O.A.T that is Zidane
- Raul
- Ronaldo
- Thomas Gravesen
- Antonio Cassano
- Robinho
- Cicinho
- Roberto Carlos
- Sergio Ramos
- …and Beckham
We did it off of the Midfield direction of an 18 year old Cesc Fabregas.
Do I need to elaborate on the number 10 is indeed and of a fact synonymous with greatness and immortality?
One had to be the best of the generation to deserve to wear it and once worn it has a great legacy to be lived up to. Many have made this jersey their own and enriched the legacy, raised the bar higher for the future. The number continues to invoke awe and magic… because the one who wears it a true master of his trade… an ambassador for his and a legend in the making…
- Past no 10′s:
- Zidane
- Robeto Baggio
- Diego Maradona
- Ronaldinho
- Platini
and ofcoarse…. Pelé. . .
Which Brings Me To a Story about a Woman Who Gave Birth to a Child that Couldnt Walk.
I think about my mother…and I cant be grateful enough. How many nights on her knees has she prayed for me? So naturally the story warms my heart.
A caring mother is concerned that her 4 year old son is not walking yet.
Not that he cant.
Its just that he doesnt.
I mean…there was no physical evidence to suggest that he cant seeing that he was physically healthy.
So when science fails you what do you do?
She goes from church to church, town to town seeking help. Praying on her knees
At a local church in a town called lome….they start 1 week’s long fast for the child..and as the story goes just as the prayers begin..there are kids playing a ball just outside the church.
Apperantly the 4 year old had been watching them all this time. The children playing accidentaly kick the ball into the church.
And the 4 year old that could not walk…Stands Up!… Runs after the ball and Kicks It
BUT
The Togo (of all places) International scored 30+ goals last season and Single handedly took down the Whole Country of Cameroun and the Premierleague club Manchester City BY HIMSELF
Is it that he is prolific? No. Far from it.
Infact…Adebayor could probably give a lengthy Thesis with plenty of DVD footage of ” textbook how to Miss an Open Goal (for dummies version)” literature.
How is this so?
It is all a testament to the greatness of Cesc Fabregas.
Arsene Wenger is doing a Dangerous….dangerous thing.
Today Cesc played in the whole behind the striker…switching Roles with Arshavin…who btw…kept the keeper busy as well…
Previoulsy Fab has played the box to box type of Role…but he was given more freedom with the likes of o lawd Denilson…and Song…taking good care of the back 4.
I stated that the “Big Guns” Are returning to Arsenal.
But After this formation that was deployed against Manchester City fire into anywhere belle that encourages so much roaming for the likes of Arshavin, Theo and Cesc to do a business for the Arsenal?
It just might have been worth it to have not won anything these past 4 years.
After Cesc has said that he only See’s his future with Arsenal…and is “honored” to be captain of the club….after a decade?
The potential to dominate everything in the next decade is a scary thing….and Our captain is only 21.
He will be 31. And I dare say…Its a Cesc-see thing.
Thanks for reading.
