With so much good music steadily out this week, you might have easily missed out on some of the best. We’ve picked in no particular order some of our favorite tracks from the week.
Ycee assisted Lil Kesh on his braggadocio-heavy single, Cause Trouble. The Pheelz produced track is one of the singles off Lil Kesh’s album “Y.A.G.I” which is expected to drop sometime in March.
A while back, we interviewed Tay Iwar about his new project “Renascentia”. Not too long ago he dropped the first song off the project called “Elysium” which features talented BANTU rapper Suté, he also teases us with a tracklist.
As expected, Elysium is a beautiful offering and should definitely be on your playlists!
Afro-Pop artiste Bular’s single, Shamajo is a groovy and inspirational record which served as his first single of the year. Shamajo was produced by Blaq Jerzee.
Bris B of LOS fame dropped his excellent EP which was a curation of different sounds crafted especially for his diverse audience. The LOS crew has giant strides ever since they made a decision to craft their musical talents individually and this tape is a great example of how far they have come along. Expect the release of Tomi Thomas’ project BlackCouch LP next.
Seun Kuti & The Egypt 80 band released visuals to their single Black Woman, which was taken off their acclaimed album “A Long Way To the Beginning”. Black Woman is celebrates the beauty and uniqueness of the African Woman. Directed by Micael Hocherman, Pedro Rajäo and Wagner Novais.
