Staff picks week 2

We have handpicked a selection of songs and music videos you might’ve missed this week. Catch up on these great tracks in no particular order.

Eugy – “Body”

Mr Eazi has been on an awesome run for the better part of last year and Body is no exception. Eugy dropped the long awaited video for the Body this week and it was not disappointing. The colourful video which praises the beauty of an African woman’s body was directed by Lex MacCarthy. Watch out for an exclusive interview with Mr. Eazi on Gidilounge next week.


J’odie – “I Lost My Mind”

J’odie released the album, African Woman in 2012 and I Lost My Mind was one of its stand out tracks. Its haunting video detailing heartbreak and the loss of a loved one was produced by Wole Oni and directed by Coby in Lagos.

Odunsi – “Jowo”


Jowo is a beautifully crafted Afro Fusion track by Odunsi which features Santi(Ozzy B). Jowo is Odunsi’s latest release after Adura and the delivery from Odunsi & Santi will have you vibing and replying this track over and over again.

Ruby Gyang – This Is Love EP


Chocolate City Music Soul/R&B diva, Ruby Gyang released her eagerly awaited EP, This Is Love, to much hype and she did not fail to deliver. The project featured outstanding artistes such as NnekaAjebutter22 and was its release was aided with a video to a single of the EP, Shakara. Banky W – “Made For You”

Another valentine offering by Banky W. Made for You is another addition to Banky W’s growing directorial collection and the beautifully shot video starring Adesua Etomi was shot in New York.
