Boko Haram is a name that has become synonymous with the recent militancy prevalent in the Northern region of Nigeria, especially in Borno State: with the major victims of their violent campaign the poor and oft neglected working class.
The short film MiddleMan is an apt portrayal of the detachment felt by these people; The pain, trauma and terror that is hardly acknowledged by the elite so far away from the danger zone. Middleman also touches themes of social insecurity, poverty and general lack of infrastructure.
MiddleMan comes courtesy of the direction/production of Ronke Ogunmakin & Cindy Ihua-Maduenyi with the role of lead actor played by Nicholas Ihua-Maduenyi.
